i am reading again!

just 3 years ago reading books seemed like a ridiculous thing to me, like why would i read books other than those that i already have to read for school. but i was young so whatever..

i started when i had just turned 15 (next month i’ll turn 17.. HELP). the first book i read was Rich Dad Poor Dad lol, then i read other non-fiction books. fiction to me seemed like a waste of time.. at least until i read The Alchemist (strongly recommend).

that year i didn’t read dozens of books but at least i did read something. then time went by and i stopped reading again (if we don’t count the books that my literature teacher made me read). i actually did pick up a book from time to time, but i never managed to finish 10 pages.

now i am back to reading, and most importantly, i am enjoying it more than ever. the book that made me read again is The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo (strongly recommend again), which i forgot that i even had (i found it while i was cleaning the chaos of books in my bedroom).

well, now i am reading in three languages, which sounds fancy but i am going crazy.. i realized that i read in arabic and english faster than i do in italian, and that’s probably because of my poor italian vocab.

anyway, that’s all. if you’ve never read in your life, please consider it, it’s life-changing. plus, don’t make my mistake: read fiction too.
